I Still Don't Trust John McCain

Is this the face of a trustworthy man?

I know, anyone can be pictured in an unfavorable light.

However, like I said on October 9th...

One of my very best friends just arrived home from his second tour of Iraq...He was in a situation where he dealt with finding roadside bombers. He did some interrogating under the current restrictions, not the new restrictions.

Do you know what trouble he had under the old restrictions?

He couldn't get people to talk.

Why?

Because they are far more afraid of what the 'insurgents' (read that as 'terrorists') will do to them and their family, than what the U.S. Military will do to them....If my friend was able to interrogate detainees in the same manner that our enemy interrogate theirs, maybe these bombings would be less frequent.

And now McCain and his cronies want to make it
more difficult for our military.

I don't trust John McCain, I never have.

I think he is a political opportunist.

He so gallantly presided over the steroid issue in baseball, and happens to be friends with union chief Donald Fehr.

And what is happening there?

Well Rafael Palmiero lied under oath, but faces no charges.

What's up John, not enough publicity around the story for you to pursue?

Now he is posturing for a bid on the Presidency.

So he has a plan to send more troops to Iraq, so they can secure one area at a time, to ensure our victory.

Aside from sending more troops, how is that different than our current plan?

In the mean time, he has a bill to stop the torture of POW's.

Fine, that sounds really nice, and given his experience in Viet Nam, it sounds credible.

But remember, Viet Nam was never won.

McCain says...

"We're either going to have a blanketed uniform standard or we're not," McCain said in answer to a question. He said torturing to get information was immoral, was not effective and encouraged potential enemies to do the same to Americans.

Encouraged potential enemies to do the same to Americans?

Are you kidding me!

What happens now to captured American Soldiers?

They are treated to a warm bed and three square meals a day? And if their religion has restrictions, they get specially made meals? They have quiet time to pray?

I don't think so!

We are in a war with ruthless people.

Young girls in Indonesia were recently beheaded by Muslim murderers. Last year, Muslims in the name of Islam murdered hundreds of schoolchildren in Russia.

If they are not above beheading little girls, what makes any of us think they are going to be nice to an American Soldier, whatever our policy?

BTW, how's everything going in nice old France?

They were nice as can be to the Muslims, and where did that get them?

Now McCain, (a wanna be Democrat? which I don't believe he is), wants to put us on the same path.

But please note, only a political opportunist would spew such redirect.
